How Get You An Interview began

Get You An Interview didn't start as a company. It started as a problem. Alfred Cervantes was the Operations Lead at a software company, where he built a customer service team of 6 from scratch and helped grow the company to $2.4M ARR. Then they cut him.

515 S Congress. Every morning. 8:30 AM.

With no income and mounting debt, Alfred started "clocking in" every day at Bennu Coffee on South Congress in Austin. Not as an employee, but as a man with a laptop and a mission. For months he poured over job boards during the day and reverse-engineered the application process at night.

He studied Applicant Tracking Systems. He learned how resumes are actually scored, filtered, and ranked by algorithms before any human ever sees them. He figured out what was missing.

The breakthrough

He rebuilt his resume using what he'd learned. Not just better words, but a completely different approach to how experience is presented, quantified, and matched to job descriptions. He sent 10 applications using the new method. Oracle, Cloudflare, Box, and others started calling.

10 applications. 5 interviews. An offer from Oracle. That's when he knew the methodology worked.

Then he did it for other people. Friends started asking for help. Then their friends. He wrote a 26-page methodology document called The Modern Application Process. Then he realized nobody reads 26-page documents. So he started consulting, and eventually built the system that became Get You An Interview.
